Ms. Kristen J. Farr is an employment attorney with more than fifteen years of experience representing employees in discrimination, retaliation, disability, whistleblower, and other workplace-related matters. Her practice focuses on federal-sector and private-sector employment law, including claims arising under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and related federal and state laws.
Ms. Farr has represented employees before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Merit Systems Protection Board, and in federal court throughout her career. She has extensive experience litigating employment matters, conducting discovery, taking and defending depositions, briefing dispositive motions, and advocating for clients in mediations, administrative hearings, and appeals.
Prior to joining Mirza Law, Ms. Farr practiced with boutique employment law firms dedicated to representing employees in workplace disputes and civil rights matters. Earlier in her career, she served as a law clerk with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Administrative Law Judges, where she assisted in the adjudication of employment and whistleblower claims.
Ms. Farr also has appellate experience, including a successful appeal before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit in Herkert v. Bisignano, which clarified the standard for adverse employment actions in federal-sector discrimination cases.
Ms. Farr believes that effective representation begins with listening to clients and understanding their goals. She is committed to providing honest advice, clear communication, and strong advocacy, helping employees navigate challenging workplace disputes while pursuing practical and meaningful results.
